Verra has issued 25,778 Verified Carbon Units to SILVADOR Climate Action (VCS ID 4511), our Improved Forest Management project in Romania. It is the project’s second consecutive issuance, covering 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2024.
The units were verified by AENOR under methodology VM0012, Improved Forest Management: Logged to Protected Forest, and registered on 16 October 2026.

The second verification covers 2,320 hectares of privately owned oak, beech and hornbeam forest, up from 1,538 hectares in the first verification. Every hectare in the project has moved from commercial logging to long-term protection, and the carbon it stores is measured, independently verified and registered on Verra.

Every number starts with a tree
Carbon stock is measured on the ground, in field plots across the project. Sample trees are marked and numbered, like tree 03-9 here, so the same trees can be measured again at each verification.
